Job Summary
Direct daily workflow for a small team under site lead direction, enabling consistent delivery of high-level customer service. Oversee service offerings including order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, chemical tracking, glass wash, media/reagent preparation, and cell culture support operations. Effectively lead a diverse cross-functional team of on-site lab specialists while managing the employee lifecycle from new hire selection through performance evaluations. Implement SOPs, conduct site audits, and assist with annual physical inventory to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices. Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement initiatives and represent the company professionally at customer locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of progressive, proven experience
- Experience working in Good x Practice (GxP) environment
- International Air Transport Association (IATA)/ U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Goods certification
- Valid DOT medical card
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate and use pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to work overtime, as needed
- Successful completion of Thermo Fisher's pre-employment screening (including background check and drug test)
- Satisfaction of any customer-mandated screening (including DOT physical), credentialing, or badging requirements

- Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs
- Ability to work in areas with Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products)
- Ability to conduct site audits
- Ability to assist with completion of annual physical inventory
- Ability to support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives
- Ability to represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally and positively at customer locations
- Ability to conduct hazard identification
- Ability to conduct inspections
- Ability to report and investigate incidents
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements
- Associate degree in a related field
- Military Service/Training in lieu of a degree
