Job Summary
Lead Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase (Consumer and Community Banking) in Hyderabad, responsible for driving reliability culture, leading incident response, guiding medium-to-large product teams, and mentoring engineers. Defines resiliency design reviews, translates complex problems into actionable work, collaborates to establish service level indicators and objectives with stakeholders, and applies data-driven analytics to improve service levels. Demonstrates deep technical expertise across domains, identifies bottlenecks, documents best practices, and acts as primary incident contact to resolve issues quickly and minimize financial impact.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5 years applied experience
- Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and site reliability best practices
- Fluency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net)
- Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines
- Proficiency and experience in observability (white/black box monitoring, SLO alerting, telemetry) using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform)
- Experience with container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies
