Job Summary
Lead Site Reliability Engineer responsible for reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence of Accela's Civic Platform; lead platform modernization toward containerized and cloud-native services; define SLOs/SLAs, drive observability and RCA, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security/compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements; hands-on in Azure, Kubernetes, automation, and GitOps practices; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related disciplines within a SaaS environment
- Demonstrated technical leadership in platform modernization (containerized/orchestrated environments)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Automation and tooling development using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Deep expertise in distributed systems across application/infrastructure layers
- Experience with modern observability platforms (monitoring, logging, metrics, distributed tracing)
- Incident response leadership, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement
- Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management practices
- Strong communication skills; Git/GitHub workflows
