Job Summary
Ensure application health, performance, and capacity while supporting pre-launch activities for Mastercard's Java and Spring Framework applications. Design resilient infrastructure, perform root cause analysis, and automate alerts to foster developer run ownership. Improve service lifecycle and reduce manual intervention through CI/CD pipeline support and configuration management. Analyze platform activities to provide feedback on operational design and capacity planning, aligning product priorities with operational needs. Conduct blameless post-mortems to understand business impact and enforce operations standards. Engage early in the development lifecycle to proactively manage production and change activities, maximizing customer experience and driving continuous improvement across distributed systems.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Python, or Go
- Strong DevOps and configuration management skills
- Experience with distributed systems and automation
- Problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
- Passion for observability and continuous improvement
- Willingness to learn and collaborate across teams
- Must abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices
- Must ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
- Must report any suspected information security violation or breach
- Must complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines
