Job Summary
Lead Site Mechanic at Edwards AFB responsible for directing aircraft maintenance, repairs, and modifications for King Air/1900 Airliner-series aircraft. Oversee maintenance of aircraft, subsystems, and support equipment; manage inspections, repairs, and overhaul, including coordination with Government liaison and contractor-owned/maintained parts. Requires FAA A&P license, DoD Secret clearance eligibility, 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, 3+ years on King Air/1900-type aircraft with complex modifications, and prior site-lead experience or on-site training under a senior site lead. Strong leadership to direct a workforce and ensure maintenance excellence across operations.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required
- Current FAA A&P license
- DoD Secret Security Clearance (ability to obtain/maintain)
- 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience
- 3+ years maintaining King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft including complex modifications
- 1+ year as a site lead under similar effort OR minimum 90 days on-site training under supervision of a site lead mechanic with at least 5 years site lead experience
- Demonstrated ability to direct a workforce in aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification
- Ability to serve as on-site liaison with Government
- Experience with COMP (Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts) and FAA-certified repair stations
- Experience with aircraft paint, engine repair and overhaul
