Job Summary
Lead SIT Engineer sought to lead the Systems Integration Testing (SIT) function for server-based electronic gaming products. The role blends hands-on test execution with technical leadership: designing and executing integration tests, writing API-level test cases, driving root-cause analysis, mentoring peers, setting test strategy, and coordinating with Development and Product Management to keep quality gates on track. Responsibilities include owning the integration test strategy and test plans, defining entry/exit criteria, driving process and tooling improvements, reviewing requirements for testability, coordinating cross-team test activities, and performing design-authoring and cross-component API testing (including SQL data validation) with automated regression where applicable. The ideal candidate is an individual contributor who also acts as a technical anchor for the SIT team, leading testing efforts across multiple R&D programs, communicating status and risks to leadership, and contributing to a quality-focused culture within gaming systems engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of total software testing experience
- 4+ years in a lead test engineer role
- Proven experience testing electronic gaming systems (slot machines, gaming servers, or equivalent)
- Experience testing gaming system components such as POS terminals, kiosks, and back-end server applications is highly desired
- Strong SQL Server skills — query writing, scripting, and database validation
- Experience with Microsoft Windows environments and Windows-based application testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting quality metrics to leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to root-cause analysis
