Job Summary
Lead software architectures, requirements, and designs for simulation models and frameworks while developing and maintaining complex solutions. Direct engineering activities including testing, integration, and delivery milestones in collaboration with program architects and FSL teams. Collect customer inputs, prioritize needs across stakeholders, and coordinate work across multiple scrum teams to meet deadlines. Perform technical design reviews to ensure software quality, commonality, and engineering excellence. Train and mentor others while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams. This role supports a proprietary Air Dominance program in Berkeley, MO, requiring a US Secret Clearance and onsite presence.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- Bachelor Degree
- 7+ years of experience in developing simulation related software
- 7+ years of experience programming in C, C++, or C#
- 5+ years of experience in hardware / software integration, emulation, and/or testing, preferably in a lab environment
- 3+ years of experience leading a software development team through the full software life cycle
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person status)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 14+ years of related work experience
- 18+ years of directly related work experience
- 22+ years of related, relevant experience
- Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering principles and tools (e.g. MSOSA)
- Experience with distributed and containerized software architecture
- Hands on experience developing on the Linux platform
- Experience with Agile software development and related processes
- Experience with secure software development environments at various levels of security
