Lead Show Automation Technician

Job Summary
Lead the Show Automation Technicians by scheduling and assigning daily tasks, coaching to improve performance, and providing on-call support for lighting, projection, special effects, and communications equipment during shows and rehearsals. Operate automation consoles and cues, manage rigging and stage equipment, prepare cue sheets and start-up/shutdown checklists, and coordinate with A&E, Media/Art, Deck Chief, and Stage Management to maintain show quality and resolve technical challenges. Requires experience with theatrical control systems, hardware/software/network skills, and willingness to work flexible hours; minimum Bachelor’s degree and/or electronic experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills for lighting, projection, special effects, and communications equipment
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 6 months – 2 years electronic experience preferred
