Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on dry van trailers, heavy machinery, and site equipment including changing tires, adjusting brakes, and troubleshooting air systems. Diagnose light issues, repair landing gears, and service bandsaws, chop saws, and manual feed saws while maintaining road worthiness for the fleet. Lead maintenance personnel, oversee reliability initiatives, and execute annual inspections using welding, cutting torches, and power tools. Requires diesel knowledge, valid driver's license, and ability to work in extreme temperatures and under trailers. Located at JC Pallet's Bladenboro, NC facility.
Required Qualifications
- Diesel knowledge
- Valid Driver's License

- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work on tractor trailers
- Ability to change trailer tires
- Ability to change brakes
- Ability to change out airbags
- Ability to diagnose light issues
- Ability to repair holes in trailer floors properly
- Ability to perform landing gear repairs
- Ability to perform front end loader / bulldozer routine maintenance
- Ability to diagnose issues on heavy machinery
- Ability to change out bearings
- Ability to diagnose issues on manual feed saws
- Ability to perform routine service of tractor, service truck and any other equipment
- Ability to work under trailers
- Ability to work on top of trailers
- Ability to work in extreme temperature shifts
- Ability to work in dusty environments
- Ability to work in loud noise environments
- Ability to work around moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work around moving forklifts
- Some Saturday work
