Job Summary
Lead Shipping & Receiving Operator responsible for inbound/outbound shipments, DOT/IATA/OSHA compliance, coordinating with carriers and internal teams to maintain a smooth logistics operation. Provides guidance to shipping and receiving team, coaching and mentoring to achieve high performance and continuous improvement. Oversees packaging and documentation for outgoing shipments (including hazardous materials), updates shipping and inventory software, and ensures accurate inspection of inbound/outbound shipments. Maintains records for audits/regulatory inspections, coordinates with carriers to resolve delivery issues, and promotes a safety-first culture. Requires ability to obtain/maintain Forklift Operator Certification and 7 years’ experience in shipping/logistics; strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills; comfortable in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 7 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a regulated operations environment
- Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling and applicable safety and compliance standards
- Proficiency in shipping software, ERP systems, and standard workplace tools/applications used in logistics operations
