Lead Services Specialist - Commissioning

Job Summary
Manage electrical activities on-site during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of upgrade projects or new installations, including oversight of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for GEV EX2100e & LS2100e systems. Install, commission, and troubleshoot excitation panels, LCI, digital generator protection panels, and supporting wiring systems for gas and steam turbines. Provide technical direction for wiring installation, terminate components, complete functionality checks, and perform start-up/shut-down sequencing. Review engineering documents and P&IDs, plan resources including labor and materials, and deliver daily or weekly updates to clients and plant owners. Ensure contractual obligations are met, comply with EHS guidelines, and provide expert consultation on complex OEM packaged products. Frequent travel required (75%+), with availability for offshore work, restricted countries, holidays, weekends, and overtime. Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in power plant maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 5 years of experience in power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant electrical equipment installation/commissioning
- 8 years of experience without formal degree in power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant electrical equipment installation/commissioning
- Experience working on GEV Electrical systems such as Electrical EX2000, EX2100, EX2100e, LS2100, LS2100e and GPP systems
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- Availability to frequently travel (More than 75%)
- Availability to work offshore
- Availability to work in restricted countries
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Gas Turbine Driver Control Systems and Auxiliary Systems and their integration with Excitation / LCI system
- Familiar with Instruments and controls and PLCs for controls training
- Wide degree of creativity and latitude

- Strong computer skills
- Ability to manage turnkey projects
- Has the knowledge and skill to actively support an outage
- Has experienced successful installations and outages
