Job Summary
Lead Service Technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding agricultural air seeding and precision planting equipment in shop and field environments. Travel weekly to customer locations for field service, with emphasis on identifying issues, performing high-quality repairs, coordinating service work, and ensuring safety and efficiency. Role involves hands-on mechanical work, operating tools and diagnostic equipment, driving service vehicles, and collaborating with the service team to keep equipment running during critical seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with agricultural or heavy equipment strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and repair practices
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability and willingness to travel weekly for field service work
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing hands-on mechanical work
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic
- Ability to take initiative and support others in a team-based environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Class A CDL preferred
- Agricultural or farming background is a strong plus
