Job Summary
Lead Service Technician responsible for directing and performing technical/mechanical work to ensure residential units, buildings, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functionality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders and preventative maintenance, managing the make-ready process for vacant units, tracking and returning inventory, coordinating with vendors and contractors, conducting inspections using platforms like Leonardo 247 and Entrata, maintaining grounds and amenities, and supporting cost-control efforts by prioritizing repair over replacement. Requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, and strong mechanical/handyman skills, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and skilled use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to diagnose defects, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance per policies and codes
- Ability to inspect and document work; familiarity with inspection platforms (Leonardo 247, Entrata)
