Lead Service Officer (Commercial Construction Portfolio)

Job Summary
Manage pre-closing reviews of construction documents, due diligence, and risk management for a diverse portfolio of non-owner occupied construction and interim loans. Process draws, budgets, and contractor documents while ensuring data integrity and compliance with lien laws and AIA documentation. Support client service functions by reviewing project budgets, hard and soft cost requisitions, and sources/uses analyses to establish disbursement controls. Initiate and analyze monitoring requirements for title, tax, insurance, and lease-up, then approve draws and prepare forms for disbursement. Maintain DDA restricted collateral accounts, including opening, reconciliations, and hold level maintenance, while facilitating rate changes and collateral updates. Prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume environment, providing backup for team members and assisting relationship managers in pre-closing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent commercial loan experience
- 3+ years of related commercial real estate experience, preferably in commercial construction lending
- Strong knowledge of construction and financing including commitment/loan structures, title/liens, documentation, and industry practices for draw processing and releases
- Familiarity with multi-bank loan participations and syndications
- Familiarity with commercial banking systems (LoanIQ, SalesForce, LaserPro, DocuSign, BOS)
- Understanding of commercial lending concepts, including loan documentation, closing processes, and risk management principles
- Strong solution oriented mindset with the ability to analyze issues, apply judgment within guidelines, and make quality decisions under time constraints

- Hybrid work arrangement (2+ days)
