Job Summary
Lead Service Engineer responsible for the reliability, performance, and uptime of control systems operating in 24/7 environments. Serve as a senior technical resource for complex troubleshooting, incident resolution, and coordination across engineering and customer stakeholders. Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, and updating live control systems; diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions; monitoring service channels and responding to incidents within SLA requirements; tracking KPIs and driving continuous improvement of service delivery; serving as escalation point for advanced troubleshooting; participating in 24/7 on-call rotation; reviewing P&IDs; preparing technical documentation and configuration records; configuring HMI and PLC/DDC/DCS control logic; supporting system networking, integration, and architecture-level troubleshooting; assisting with onsite startup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning; providing technical training and handover support; and identifying additional service opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in industrial or building automation environments
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Tridium Niagara N4; Distech (BACnet, LON, Eclypse Controllers); Johnson Controls Metasys; Siemens Apogee; Rockwell Automation RSLogix/Studio 5000; PlantPAx; HVAC/P&IDs/functional testing methodologies
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents
- Experience troubleshooting live control systems in high-availability environments
- Understanding of instrumentation, control logic, and system integration
- Strong documentation skills and technical advisory capabilities
- Onsite startup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience
- Ability to review P&IDs and develop instrumentation lists
- Technical training and handover support
