Job Summary
Lead design of wind turbine controls hardware including sensors (temperature, proximity, vibration, etc.), I/O, and communication hardware. Define specifications for sensors and communication systems and cabinets. Develop and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, drawings, specifications, manufacturing and field instructions. Define test and validation requirements and support lab testing. Collaborate with suppliers and site teams on root cause analysis; lead turbine retrofits and upgrades. Support product development design reviews and present design details to chief engineers. Occasional travel to support testing and customer issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field with Renewable Energy emphasis preferred
