Job Summary
Lead Senior Specialist, Payroll responsible for running end-to-end payroll for a diversified portfolio of Canadian clients across multiple provinces, ensuring on-time payroll processing, T4s, ROE submissions, EHT, WCB filings, CRA account reviews, and proactive client support. The role emphasizes complex data analysis, recommendations, and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. You’ll act as a technical resource for the team, collaborate with bookkeeping, and contribute to departmental best practices in a fully remote, Canada-based setup. The successful candidate will have PCP certification, 12+ years of payroll experience, and a strong ability to manage multi-province payroll, benefit deductions, and payroll-related regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- PCP certified
- 12+ years payroll experience in a fast-paced environment
- experience with complex payroll scenarios and escalations
- advanced data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- advanced understanding of the Canadian payroll process, including withholding taxes and ROE/T4
- experience processing payroll in multiple provinces (QC asset)
- strong communication and client-management skills
- self-starter energy for remote work
- tech-savvy with payroll tools (Payworks, Wagepoint)
- proven compliance and process-improvement track record
