Job Summary
Lead software development, database management, and application administration for classified and unclassified systems supporting acquisition functions. Engage with end users to identify workflow pain points, then architect maintainable, secure solutions using .NET/C# while conducting code reviews and pair programming. Own production application health by triaging critical outages, optimizing SQL Server performance, and designing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate testing and deployment. Manage the full portfolio including GOTS, MOTS, and COTS, integrating security practices like STIG compliance and OWASP standards from day one. Modernize legacy .NET Framework applications toward .NET 8 and containerized architectures while cross-training team members on database and platform administration. Requires 8+ years of full-stack experience in DoD environments, a Bachelor's degree, and a SECRET clearance. On-site at Redstone Arsenal with situational telework; CONUS travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Full-stack software development using .NET/C# in DoD environments
- Microsoft SQL Server database administration and optimization
- Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD pipeline management
- SharePoint Online administration and Power Platform development
- Software assurance practices (OWASP, static code analysis, STIG compliance)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- IAT III per DoDM 8140.03 (e.g., CASP+ CE, CISSP, or CCNP Security)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent development certification
- 8+ years in software development
- 4 years in DoD environments
- 3 years in a technical lead role
- SECRET security clearance
- TS/SCI security clearance if developing on classified systems
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting PAE Fires or PEO Missiles and Space application development
- Experience with Serena Business Manager (SBM) configuration and workflow development
- Familiarity with Army Vantage, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
- Containerized application development with Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
- Fortify/static analysis tool certification
- 12+ years
