Job Summary

Diagnose faults in electronic devices using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators, then perform precision repairs on capacitors, resistors, and integrated circuits. Conduct functional tests and calibrations to restore systems to optimal specifications while maintaining detailed records of diagnostics and parts replaced. Mentor repair technicians through training programs and best practices, assign tasks based on skill and workload, and review team work to ensure quality standards. Serve as the primary contact for escalated challenges and collaborate with management to improve repair workflows. This role supports Solutech's mission to ensure critical medical devices remain available for patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline), or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and hands-on experience in electronics repair
  • Proven experience in component-level repair and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems
  • Familiarity with a variety of electronics, including medical devices, industrial equipment, or consumer electronics
  • Strong knowledge of common electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs) and how they function within circuits
  • Proficient with testing and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators
  • Experienced in soldering, desoldering, and reworking electronic components at the component level
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, perform thorough diagnostics, and propose effective solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and other departments when necessary
  • Ability to work with precision and ensure repairs meet quality standards
  • Experience in quality control, inventory management, and production environments
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, for extended periods of time
  • Dexterous ability to manipulate small objects
  • Willing to work standard and non-standard hours as required to support the customers

Desired Qualifications

  • Background in a service-based industry supporting patient care is a plus
