Job Summary
Monitor hotel premises for security breaches, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to guest inquiries or incident reports. Execute access control, maintain surveillance footage, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed during incidents. Assist in emergency response situations, investigate theft or property damage, and implement safety protocols during high-traffic events. Provide on-the-job training for new security officers and conduct security training for staff members. Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures concerning safety while evaluating and resolving conflicts among guests.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Understanding of security systems and surveillance technology
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work rotating shifts, and call back hours when required
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. or more
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Desired Qualifications
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Ambiance and Tracktik knowledge preferred
