Job Summary
Lead Security Engineer- DevOps responsible for deploying secure software at scale within JPMorgan Chase's Cybersecurity & Technology Controls. You will act as a core technical contributor delivering tamper-proof, audit-defensible solutions across multiple technical areas, defining and enforcing infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling. Responsibilities include systems engineering and administration for Windows and Linux, developing secure production code (Python, Bash, PowerShell), engaging with third-party vendors, shaping security controls to meet regulatory requirements, and collaborating with business leaders to address security needs during vulnerabilities. Preferred qualifications include cloud-focused certifications and communication with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on Engineering and/or Cybersecurity concepts
- 5+ years applied experience as a cloud engineer, deployment engineer, DevOps engineer, or equivalent role
- Experience with cloud engineering, deployment engineering, DevOps engineering, or equivalent
- Strong experience defining and implementing infrastructure as Code (IaC), working with CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems internals
- Experience engaging with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams
- Understanding of security practices to minimize vulnerabilities and comply with regulations
- Experience delivering production deployments and designing scalable security solutions
