Job Summary
Lead Alterations Specialist is responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to high standards, supervising and training Alterations Specialists, driving customer loyalty through personalized fittings and consultations, and promoting alteration services and personalization options. The role includes overseeing all alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, spot cleaning of garments, ensuring quality control before delivery, training staff, communicating sales goals to the Store Manager, and delivering a 5 Star Customer Experience using approved systems. Education includes a High School Diploma or degree with prior sewing/retail experience; this is a full-time leadership position within a bridal alterations environment at David’s Bridal.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or degree
- Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS system and ability to use one
