Job Summary
Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm, adapting styles to suit individual needs while resolving conflicts and providing product information. Lead and oversee all alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning to company standards, maintaining quality control guidelines and inspecting garments before final delivery. Train team members on fitting and sewing techniques, ensure ongoing product education, and communicate daily sales goals to the Store Manager. Act as Floor Manager during peak times to offer fit consultations and assist stylists in closing sales by promoting personalization options. Use approved systems to manage customer flow and deliver a 5 Star Customer Experience. Maintain high dress code standards and utilize all electronic devices for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or degree
- Prior seeing experience
- Prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
- Prior experience with computerized POS system
- Ability to use a computerized POS system
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to reach for tools and objects with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to talk to and hear customers
- Must occasionally lift to 25 pounds
- Must be able to see up close and at a distance
- Must be able to use peripheral vision and depth perception
- Must be able to look at, read, and use a computer and all other electronic devices for long periods of time
- Must maintain high dress code standards per dress code
Desired Qualifications
- Prior seeing experience, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment
