Job Summary
Design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience for Strategy projects at Barclays. Create and implement comprehensive test plans, automation scripts using Java/Selenium/Cucumber, and BDD frameworks to ensure compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to acceptance criteria. Perform root cause analysis for defects, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members while driving the evolution of the digital landscape. Take ownership of assigned user stories, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure all documentation and signoffs are completed within the sprint cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Automate using agreed / standard automation framework (Java/Selenium/Cucumber/BDD/Python/RDBMS)
- Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience implementing BDD frameworks using Cucumber
- Good working experience in Java / Python, Selenium / Cucumber BDD/Gherkin
- Hands on experience in API testing and automation using REST Assured
- Excellent SQL / Unix / Linux skills
- Working knowledge of Jenkins
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to integrate automated test suites into deployment pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Maven and/or Gradle for dependency and build management
- Proficiency in GitLab for source code management
- Excellent in Restful / Json / xml Protocol
- Take complete ownership of assigned user stories i.e., understanding, collaborating with BAs / POs / Architects, scripting and executing within the sprint cycle
- Ensure the documents like test cases, auto scripts, detailed status reports, test completion reports are prepared by the team and necessary signoffs have been obtained
- Ensure active participation in daily scrum calls, provide updates, and raise impediments timely
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Banking/Financial Services domain preferred
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and modern automation practices
- Mentoring or leading QA automation teams is an added advantage
- Good working experience of API based automation for a quick turnaround time
