Job Summary
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electric capital infrastructure using Primavera P6, performing critical path analysis and managing schedule variances. Interface with project management, engineering, and client stakeholders to develop scopes of work, support month-end closing, and produce look-ahead and actuals reports. Manage project risks, provide schedule insights with corrective actions, and ensure standardized file locations for all schedule documents. Travel to client offices for coordination meetings as needed. Work three days in-office with two remote days.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Familiarity with the practical application of project controls
- 10+ years of project experience
- Post-secondary graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge in MS Office tools
- Advanced use of MS Excel and/or MS Access in creating detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases
- Willingness to engage with others to understand project team needs
- Commitment to deliver high quality, accurate deliverables with attention to detail
- Travel to client office for project coordination meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Related engineering internship, co-op, or work experience, which includes project controls, project planning, project scheduling, and earned value performance, preferably within the power industry
- AACE CST, or PMI Equivalent
- Working towards AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI Equivalent
- Completed equivalent training in lieu of Professional Designation (AACE CST, or PMI Equivalent)
- Successfully passed designated proficiency testing in lieu of Professional Designation
