Job Summary
Define, create, and deliver bespoke training programs to Transamerica Retirement Services sales teams for large-scale projects, product launches, and ongoing development. Assess training needs with leadership and observe wholesaler performance, then evaluate effectiveness through participant reactions, knowledge acquisition, and behavioral change. Design and facilitate new hire training and supplementary sessions for virtual and external RVPs, internal wholesalers, and account managers. Mentor trainers, conduct peer reviews, and develop e-learning modules using learning management systems. Provide focused training on relationship selling, decision-making, and customer-centric language while attending strategy meetings with Sales Desk teams and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent experience
- Seven years of learning and development experience
- Deep industry and product knowledge in specialty areas based on business need (e.g. retirement, mutual fund, annuity, life, employee benefits)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Advanced documentation and technical writing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work on a team and independently
- Ability to incorporate creative and innovative solutions in a learning environment
- Project management skills
- Advanced proficiency using MS Office tools
Desired Qualifications
- Training experience in the financial services industry, particularly qualified retirement plans
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
- Certified Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS)
- Instructional design experience
- Computer application software knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, CoPilot)
