Lead Sales Engineering Specialist - Security

Job Summary
Lead Sales Engineering Specialist focused on Security at Fivetran. You’ll support sales and field engineers with deep technical knowledge of Fivetran’s security operations, respond to security questionnaires, participate in customer infosec calls, and collaborate with Legal, AppSec, Product, and Engineering to align solutions with customer needs. You’ll lead documentation and enablement efforts, drive security architecture reviews and compliance discussions with prospects, stay current on security trends, and communicate our security posture to diverse audiences. Technologies include cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), network security, data protection, containerization, SOC 2/ISO 27001/PCI/HIPAA/HITRUST/GDPR, and programming languages such as Java, SQL, and Python (bonus).
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years as a security administrator, backend engineer, field CISO, or IT services within an enterprise or similarly complex environment
- Extensive expertise with modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity mechanisms (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security
- Ability to effectively communicate Fivetran’s detailed security posture and influence security audiences at all levels
- Experience with trust center management platforms and security questionnaire automation software
- Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, SQL, and Python is a bonus
