Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate role at Dollar General in Sulphur, LA. Functions as a cashier and/or stocker with lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and merchandising merchandise, implementing plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating the cash register, processing payments, maintaining store cleanliness, and upholding security and cash-control procedures. Requires strong customer service, math/cash handling, familiarity with plan-o-grams, and supervisory exposure; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
