Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate-PT at Dollar General in Starbuck, MN. Acts in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, implementing plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating the cash register, handling cash and deposits, maintaining a clean front end and store, setting up displays, and ensuring a safe, organized shopping environment. Demonstrates leadership by supervising cashiers, maintaining cashier accountability, monitoring security practices, and assisting in opening/closing under direction. Requires strong math, cash handling, plan-o-gram adherence, merchandising, customer service, and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
