Job Summary
Lead cashier and stocker duties in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Unload trucks, receive, and unpack merchandise while stocking shelves and building displays. Operate cash registers, process payments, manage drawers, and authorize refunds or overrides. Maintain strict cash control, monitor cameras for unusual activity, and handle bank deposits. Assist customers by locating items, manage plan-o-grams, and ensure a clean, safe store environment. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction. Complete required paperwork and documentation according to company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
