Job Summary
Lead sales associate duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, rotating shelf items, and assisting customers to locate products. Operate cash registers, collect payments, and manage drawer pulls while maintaining strict cash accountability and key control. In the absence of the Store Manager, authorize refunds and overrides, count registers, and make bank deposits. Clean store floors, restock returned goods, and maintain register countertops and plan-o-grams. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while ensuring a safe, secure environment. Complete required paperwork and documentation according to guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
