Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Parsons, KS (Part-Time). Function as a cashier and/or stocker and lead in the absence of the Store Manager, assist in plan-o-gram implementation, stock and rotate merchandise, provide exemplary customer service, and help maintain a clean and safe store environment. Duties include unloading trucks, stocking and displaying merchandise, processing transactions at the register, handling refunds/overrides as directed, supervising cashier accountability, and supporting store operations to maximize profitability and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability
- Ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Experience in unloading trucks and stocking merchandise
- Experience in customer service and store operations
- Ability to manage refunds and overrides under direction of Store Manager
