Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate-PT at Dollar General in Jackson, TN. Functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker and acts in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and merchandising merchandise, maintaining plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating the cash register, handling payments, and upholding store safety and cleanliness. Emphasizes customer service leadership, compliance with company policies, and contributing to a well-organized, profitable store environment. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and supervisory experience or related training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
