Job Summary
Function as a Cashier and/or Stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. Provide exemplary customer service. Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets and reducing losses. Duties include unloading trucks; receiving, opening, and unpacking cartons; stocking and rotating merchandise; restocking returned merchandise; ordering zones and drop shipment categories; assisting with plan-o-gram implementation; assisting customers; operating cash register and POS; handling payments and refunds; maintaining store cleanliness; greeting customers; maintaining cashier accountability and security procedures; monitoring cash levels and drawer pulls; supervising in the Store Manager/Assistant Manager's absence; completing required paperwork. Qualifications emphasize mathematical ability, cash handling, plan-o-gram literacy, customer service, safety, and communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
