Job Summary
Lead cashier and stocker duties, including unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, rotating displays, and operating cash registers to process sales and collect payments. Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager by authorizing refunds, counting registers, making bank deposits, and monitoring cash levels. Maintain a clean, organized environment by cleaning floors, restocking restrooms, and assisting customers with locating items. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while adhering to all company policies and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
