Job Summary
Conduct customer interactions via phone and in-person to offer expert advice on coatings projects, then process orders through point-of-sale systems. Maintain sales floor organization and stock levels by stocking merchandise according to planograms and assisting with inventory management. Uphold Dunn-Edwards' store vision by ensuring quality service delivery, adhering to safety standards, and operating company vehicles as needed. Act as a role model for Store Sales Associates while continuously learning industry products through Dunn-Edwards Learning Network and certification programs. Drive store improvements in designated key performance metrics and manage shifts that may start at 5:00 am, end at 6:30 pm, or run seven days per week depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to operate company vehicle to conduct store business
- Must be able to lift 5 to 75 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Read and write English for safety purposes
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute percentages and analyze report data and statistics
- Ability to operate Point-of-Sale computer system and complete cash transactions accurately
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, e.g., active construction sites
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use a respirator
- Opening shifts as early as 5:00 am
- Closing shifts as late as 6:30 pm
- Workdays vary depending on location; some are open 7 days per week
