Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Strasburg, OH, responsible for providing superior customer service, operating the cash register and scanner, stocking and rotating merchandise, cleaning the store, setting up displays, and assisting in store management in the absence of the Store Manager. Key duties include greeting customers, itemizing and totalizing purchases, handling payments and bagging, receiving and stocking merchandise, following planograms, opening/closing the store, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of safety and cash handling procedures, and the ability to perform basic math and cash register operations. High school diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- ability to perform cash register functions
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
