Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General responsible for delivering customer-first service and leading store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Duties include greeting and assisting customers, operating cash register and scanner, itemizing and totaling purchases, handling cash and making change, stocking and rotating merchandise, building displays, cleaning the store, assisting with planograms, and opening/closing the store under direction. Requires effective interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of safety practices, ability to follow planograms and merchandising guidelines, basic math, cash handling, and ability to drive to the bank for deposits. Physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds (up to 55 pounds occasionally), and occasional climbing; overnight travel and remote work are not indicated. Education of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and supervisory experience (or related training) is advantageous.
