Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus; duties include assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and rotating merchandise, cleaning, implementing planograms, and opening/closing the store; serves in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager; requires effective interpersonal/communication skills, planogram compliance, cash handling, and ability to perform store-operations duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money (if applicable)
- Knowledge of cash handling policies and cashier accountability
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional up to 55 pounds
- Ability to operate a cash register and scanner
- Ability to stock, rotate merchandise and build displays
- Ability to open/close the store under direction of Store Manager
