Job Summary
Greet and assist customers while operating the cash register to process transactions and make change. Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves, build displays, and maintain a clean store by dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms. Open and close the store under Store Manager direction, acting in a lead capacity during the absence of management. Handle planogram implementation and perform additional duties as assigned to maximize store profitability and protect company assets. Requires high school diploma, six months of supervisory experience, and ability to drive to the bank for deposits.
Required Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience
