Job Summary
LEAD SALES ASSOCIATE role supporting store operations in Meeker, OK. Functions as a Cashier and/or Stocker with lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Key duties include unloading trucks, receiving and unpacking cartons, stocking and rotating merchandise, executing plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating the cash register, handling payments and deposits, maintaining clean and organized front end and stock areas, and providing superior customer service leadership. Works to maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets. Maintains cashier accountability, security practices, and adherence to operating procedures; may open/close the store under Area Manager direction. Strong emphasis on mathematics, cash handling, merchandise presentation, safety, and effective communication. Qualifications prefer HS diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience; prior retail experience with cash handling and planogram knowledge is valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance
