Job Summary
Lead sales associate duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, rotating displays, and assisting customers with product location. Operate cash registers, collect payments, make change, and manage register countertops. In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, authorize refunds and overrides, count registers, make bank deposits, and monitor cameras for unusual activities. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while maintaining strict cash control and key security. Clean store floors, restrooms, and stockrooms, and implement plan-o-grams to maximize profitability. Starting pay range is $17.40 - $17.65 per hour. High school diploma and six months of supervisory experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
