Job Summary
Greet and assist customers while operating the cash register to itemize purchases, collect payment, and make change. Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves, build displays, and follow planograms to maintain an organized store. Clean the facility including floors, restrooms, and stockrooms, and manage trash removal. Open and close the store under Store Manager direction, performing additional duties typically assigned to management during their absence. Requires six months of supervisory experience, high school diploma, and ability to drive for bank deposits. Starting pay is $16.00-$16.25 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience
