Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Half Way, MO, functioning as cashier and stocker with lead capacity in the absence of Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, executing plan-o-grams, assisting customers, maintaining register accuracy, handling cash and refunds, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting safe, profitable store operations. Requires strong customer service, cash handling, plan-o-gram adherence, teamwork, and supervisory-esque duties; high school diploma or equivalent and at least some supervisory experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- knowledge of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- understanding of safety policies and practices
- ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- frequent standing and walking for extended periods
- driving/providing own transportation to other Dollar General stores for meetings or bank deposits
