Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General specializing in customer-first service, operating the cash register, stocking and rotating merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness and presentation. Responsibilities include assisting customers, building merchandise displays, following planograms, opening/closing the store under manager direction, and performing duties in the absence of store leadership. Requires strong interpersonal skills, basic math and cash-handling abilities, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to drive to the bank for deposits. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
