Job Summary
Lead sales associate duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, rotating displays, and assisting customers with product location. Operate cash registers, collect payments, and manage drawer pulls while maintaining strict cash accountability and key control. In the absence of the Store Manager, authorize refunds, oversee bank deposits, and monitor cameras for unusual activities. Clean store floors, restock returned items, and maintain plan-o-grams to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Complete all required paperwork and documentation according to company guidelines. This role involves frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 pounds in a fast-paced environment. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
