Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate role at Dollar General in Council Grove, KS. Responsibilities include providing superior customer service leadership; operating a cash register, itemizing purchases, collecting payment, bagging merchandise; stocking, restocking, and rotating merchandise; cleaning the store; assisting with planograms and merchandise displays; opening/closing the store under direction of management; and performing additional duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Requires strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of safety practices, ability to perform cash-handling tasks, planogram adherence, math skills, and availability for in-store duties. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
