Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Butler, PA, responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Duties include assisting customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking and rotating merchandise, cleaning the store, setting up merchandise displays, assisting with planograms, opening/closing the store under direction of the Store Manager, and performing additional duties in the absence of management. Requires strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, knowledge of safety policies, ability to read planograms, basic math, cash handling, and willingness to drive to the bank for deposits. The role acts in a lead capacity in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager and is performed in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
- Ability to read and follow planograms
- Ability to operate cash register and process payments
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Ability to drive own vehicle to bank deposits
- Frequent walking and standing; ability to perform stocking and merchandising tasks
