Lead Sales Associate provides customer-first service in a Dollar General store, performing duties of a Sales Associate while acting in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, operating a cash register, itemizing purchases, handling cash and change, stocking and rotating merchandise, building displays, following planograms, cleaning the store, assisting with store open/close, and supporting store profitability and asset protection. Requires effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, knowledge of cash handling and safety policies, ability to follow planograms, basic math, and the ability to drive to the bank for deposits; High school diploma or equivalent with six months supervisory experience preferred.
