Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Blanchard, OK. Function as a Cashier and/or Stocker and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, maintaining plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating cash register and handling payments, ensuring store cleanliness and safety, and providing superior customer service leadership. Must be able to perform cash handling, cashier accountability, and adhere to company policies. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and supervisory experience preferred; relocation assistance not available. This is a full-time, in-store leadership role focused on profitability, teamwork, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to operate IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
